Stage 2 COVID19 Flight Conditions

We are pleased to advise you that we are taking to the sky once again in Stage 2 with added precautions, as there still remains an inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 in any public place where people are present.

Our conditions will assist you in understanding all the necessary precautions that need to be taken prior to any flight with Air to Air Africa:

General COVID conditions for flights with Air to Air Africa:

1 – Persons with high risk health issues, are not recommended to participate.

2 – Face masks are to be worn during all interactions with any Air to Air Africa team member, and for the duration of the flight. Note: Please bring your own mask, if masks are lost on flight, a reusable mask will be supplied.

3 – Sanitiser will be supplied by the operators, prior to, during and after the flight.

4 – Minimum of 2 adults per booking.

5 – Standard cancellation policies apply for cancellations related to COVID-19.


Conditions prior to flights with Air to Air Africa:

1 – Declaration forms will be issued prior to the flight and are to be signed and submitted at check in. If you are able to fill in and sign digitally, we urge you to do so.

1 – The temperature of each passenger will be measured and recorded at check in and the result marked on the passenger’s declaration form. Any passengers temperature over 38˚C will not be allowed on board.

2 – All crew will have their temperatures taken prior to arrival on the launch site and will wear their masks at all times. They will also sanitise hands before and after assisting any passenger.

3 – Balloon equipment, compartments and vehicles will be sanitised before and after flights.

4 – Each compartment will ONLY hold 2/3/4 passengers related to each other.

Conditions during all flights with Air to Air Africa:

1 – Wearing of face masks during the entire experience is compulsory, except while eating.

2 – Sanitising of hands will be required on arrival at check-in, prior to boarding, on exiting the balloon, entry and exiting Reception, transport vehicles and dining areas. Including glove wearers.

3 – Social distancing should be practiced during the experience. As a distance of 1.5 m is not achievable on board a balloon, we will ONLY fly 2/3/4 passengers who are related, in each compartment.

4 – If passengers wish to communicate with passengers in other compartments, please stand as far away from them as permitted on a balloon. 

Cancellation Policy:

1 – Once the deposit has been received, the client will be liable for the full number of passengers booked and will not be refunded for any no show passengers or cancellation or lessening of numbers of passengers.

2 – In the event that Air- to Air cancel a flight due to weather, we will attempt to reschedule for another day. If this is not possible the deposit held will be refunded in full less a service fee of 10% plus bank charges if applicable.

3 – Any passenger not showing without being cancelled by Air to Air Staff will be charged in full.

4 – Cancellation by passenger more than 72 hours prior to the flight will receive a 50% refund.

5 – Corporate bookings must be cancelled 3 weeks prior to the flight to receive a 50% refund.
